We had a good celebration of Placentia's 350th. Anniversary in 2012.
This year we remember another significant event in out history, the signing of the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713, causing the French to leave to be replaced by the English although most of the French did not leave until the following year in 1714. A few families actually stayed.

This site is operated by volunteers and we depend mostly on them for presenting our information. While we try our best, we do not have the research capability to check everything for historical accuracy. If you see anything you think is not accurate please let us know and we will try and have it corrected.
Grateful thanks to the Town of Placentia, the Federal and Provincial Governments for their financial contributions in 2012 and their continued support of PAHS and thanks to all others who assisted us in any way especially those who helped "saved the models" including major donner Husky Energy. .
