The Board of Directors of the Placentia Area Historical Society held its regular monthly meeting in the PADA building on March 21, 2010. All PAHS directors plus four PAHS members were present.
As this was the first meeting since the Annual Meeting, an appointment to the board and the elections of officers was held. Tom O’Keefe was appointed to the board to fill an existing vacancy. The following were elected to executive offices: President Tom O’Keefe, Vice-president Christopher Newhook, Secretary Elizabeth MacDonald and Treasurer Cyril Bambrick.
The board reviewed a number of issues that need to be dealt with in the immediate future, including: directors insurance, design and printing of a new brochure, acquiring collections management software, new frames for Heritage Awards, conservation of materials in the museum and some repairs, disposal of old computers, preparing museum for summer opening and completion of the new website.
There was some discussion on the Annual Tea Party and Doors Open programs. Tentative dates were set for the Tea Party in late July and Doors open in late August.
The next meeting has been set for April 25th.
